Updates..

Beloved guitar sent to workshop..of cus I wouldn't die without it, but its the same old feeling that something so dearly to you suddenly went missing~ hmm..nvm~

Preparation for standard chartered marathon has been progressing well, sometimes its really good to set some goals and u'll have no excuses in skipping the regime..plus,exercising makes u feel good, and look good too.. opps~ jk.. =)

Life so far has been gradually getting monotonous.. work, teach guitar, band performance, wait for exam results and sch reopens.. looking on the bright side, its pretty stress-less and fnancially rewarding.. I guess i'll just enjoy it while I still can..before year 2 nightmare strikes..

Speaking about the future, the path is so straight and clear now.. finish studies -> work in family business -> go for masters -> etc.. but SOMEHOW, I wished that I could have more options.. Like setting up a musiccafe, try being a song composer etc..at least achieve something of my own..but well..guess it'll just remain as dreams that I always have.. 不要身在福中不知福。。stay realistic k..

what a 'musicful' week.. looking at e schedule, i shouldn't really be studying IT eh ? lol. I should really work in the music industry instead. Nonetheless, i'll try to keep it realistic yea.. Like what wr said, do it while you still can.. I'll just keep it as a passion, as attaining a stable ricebowl in future seems more realistic..

Project V has been progressing well, starting to see results. Just in time for reservice's IPPT end of this month. Very soon will be able to join xavier for beach volleyball and become 阳光男孩！lol..okie.. i was just kidding.. =)

Well, now that everything is set.. I finally convinced myself that the journey with her has ended. Its time to pick up the pieces and move on.. Nevertheless, I thank this group of wonderful peeps such as zhenwei, wenrong, peiting, melissa tan, melissa peh, evelyn, estella, qinyu and xavier for all your concern and advises when I was down..

Destiny seems to be playing a fool with me..somehow another opportunity is knocking on the door. I'm certainly not ready for it, and i guess it wun't be fair for her too. Perhaps i need to take it slow, and let nature take its course..

Family outing to JB..

I have to say the immigaration changed alot! was like so confused by all the new roads. Fortunately we've a moving Malaysia Street Directory, my dad.. lol. He seem to know them inside out. Just name any place and he can bring you there. so yea, we spent the day at JB eating and shopping. Traffic jam at customs was a big turn off thou, so boring that we started playing with sun glasses while trapped in the jam.. lol

This is a good one....
Jocelyn married William this day. At the end of the wedding party, Jocelyn's mother gave her a newly opened bank saving passbook. With $1000 deposit amount.

Mother: 'Jocelyn, take this passbook. Keep it as a record of your marriage life.

When there's something happy and memorable happened in your new life, put some money in.

Write down what it's about next to the line. The more memorable the event is, the more money you can put in.

I've done the first one for you today. Do the others with William.

When you look back after years, you can know how much happiness you've had.

Jocelyn shared this with William when getting home. They both thought it was a great idea and were anxious to know when the second deposit can be made.

This was what they did after certain time:

- 7 Feb: $100, first birthday celebration for William after marriage

- 1 Mar: $300, salary raise for Jocelyn

- 20 Mar: $200, vacation trip to Bali

- 15 Apr: $2000, Jocelyn got pregnant

- 1 Jun: $1000, William got promoted

....and so on...

However, after years, they started fighting and arguing for trivial things. They didn't talk much.

They regretted that they had married the most nasty people in the world.... no more love...

One day Jocelyn talked to her Mother:'Mom, we can't stand it anymore. We agree to divorce. I can't imagine how I decided to marry this guy!!!'

Mother: 'Sure, girl, that's no big deal. Just do whatever you want if you really can't stand it. But before that, do one thing first. Remember the saving passbook I gave you on your wedding day?
Take out all money and spend it first. You shouldn't keep any record of such a poor marriage.'

Jocelyn thought it was true. So she went to the bank, waiting at the queue and planning to cancel the account.

While she was waiting, she took a look at the passbook record. She looked, and looked, and looked.

Then the memory of all the previous joy and happiness just came up her mind. Her eyes were then filled with tears.

She left and went home.

When she was home, she handed the passbook to William, asked him to spend the money before getting divorce.

The next day, William gave the passbook back to Jocelyn. She found a new deposit of $5000.

And a line next to the record: 'This is the day I notice how much I've loved you thru out all these years. How much happieness you've brought me.' They hugged and cried, putting the passbook back to the safe.

Do you know how much money they had saved when they retired? I did not ask.

I believe the money did not matter any more after they had gone thru all the good years in their life.

Exams in 16days.. Everyone already started revising.. I have yet to even plan mine. Probably exhausted after prelims and everything that has been happening recently.. it seems like exams always comes in when you have the least time to prepare for it.. or probably I should say the problem lies in me.. Monday, monday will be the day I recant all the enthusiasm I had for prelims and hopefully I can score equally well..

Aftermath.. consequences.. repercussions..
I seriously feel the aloofness between us ever since that incident.. All i can say is.. I truly regretted what I did.. Things arent the same now.. she no longer yearn for phone calls to acc her home after work.. she no longer insisted on having the 3 words I say to her every night before sleep..I'm missing that smile on her that used to show blissfulness between us..

Probably she needs some time.. and some time for me to sort myself out too.. I need to stop doing whatever that makes me a possessive jerk.. hopefully, things can get convalesced very soon..

I need to get over this crunch time fast!

Today, I did the unforgiven.. I raised my voice at her, together with all the anxiety that one could ever have. I shall not discuss how it actually happened, all I can say is.. everything came all of a sudden, I didnt have time to react.. and I certainly didn't wish to do that as well..

Possessiveness is seriously a big time killer for me.. It seems to be embedded in me and sometimes I do things without realising that its so wrong until its time to face the aftermath.. I know that I should be grateful that after so many things I've done, she's still being so forgiving from time to time..

I'm feeling so screwed up now.. gosh, what have i done..

Being Fair in Life

Came across this little story which I think may be a good reflection for all of us. Ever think that life is unfair to you ? why didnt you always get an equal share of what others did.. well, here's a story for you.

The Elephant and Ant Story

Being fair in life doesn't mean that things have to be always equal among everyone. Here we have a bowl of rice, to be shared among an elephant and an ant. The elephant needs a bowl of rice to feel full while the ant only needs a grain of rice.

To share the bowl of rice equally among them, they both get half the bowl of rice which ended up having the elephant half-full, and leftovers by the ant. On the other hand it would be fair to just let the elephant have the bowl of rice less the grain to be given to the ant. Both of them got what they need and no rice were wasted.

Moral of story.. in life, things may not always seem to be fair to you. All you need is to take some time and reflect on how you're looking at it, whether is it equal ? or fair..

Money No Enough 2

This show is unexpectedly nice..I still thought its worth the money although everyone knows its gonna show on dvds or even on television soon. The show focus alot on family ties and various touching scenes made everyone break into tears. At the same time the film protrays Singaporeans’ grouses so accurately that only Jack Neo does it best in my opinion and I surely had fun laughing my heart out during the 2hrs show. I'm already planning for a family movie outing since both my ah pa and ah ma havent been stepping into cinemas for donkey years.

Recieved this card from my NS platoon guys .. Its kind of surprising as I thought they had long forgotten me thou I'm always the bad guy tasking them do this do that, not forgetting to push them for IPPT, SOC and all the physical trainings.. It good to think back on what we've all been thru together, that kind of made my day..

I was caught up in a traffic jam while making my last deliver at arnd 7am which is turning peak hour.. On the opposite lane I saw this taxi stopped along the roadside with an Angmor lady behind trying to load her luggages, 2 big ones with some small bags.. that idiotic cab driver happily stay in the car and wait for her. What good service man, somemore cab fare still rises.. -_-

That's not the main point. Just as I was feeling sorry for the lady, another car which is jammed behind the taxi for some time couldn't switch lane due to the ongoing traffic. The driver came of of his car and confronted the cab driver.. from his gestures I can tell that he's criticizing him for not helping. Great, now the cab driver is out of his comfy seats and proceed to help the Angmor lady.. so what happened to the kind driver ?

He went back into his car and drove off...

Seriously.. is he a cock or something ? lol.. what the hell.. the saying of Talk, But No Action could not be illustrated better man.. The best part is the amused look from the cab driver watched him drive off.. lol.. priceless~

Well.. definitely not mine *touch wood*. . As I have some free time now before my course commencing in Sept, I'm summoned to work at my mum's factory as they are lacking of manpower.. delivering goods for wet market in the midnight, in short - delivery man.. =)

Came across this horrible car accident last night 4am at Pan Island Expressway. My goodness, the whole bonet (front part) was detached from the body of the car, and the whole car was overturned. How on earth did that fellow managed to 'langga' until like that when the whole road is almost yours at 4am ? I guess its must be some drink driving or speeding went haywire. Whatever it is, I feel sorry for that driver. Somewhat it really gave me a wakeup call to watch my speed even thou the road looked totally harmless during e silent hours..

Working as a delivery man has kind of shown me the reality in labour work.
long working hours + strength demanding = pathetic pay.. nowonder most of the time only foreigners are willing to take up such job. But well, thou these people arent highly educated, they do impress me with the way they do things which makes their job a whole lot easier and more efficient..

Last night while loading up the goods, this guy called Xiao Wei from china came to give a helping hand. He said 'ah joe ！我看准你会当上工厂老板。。应为你肯从低做起！' lol.. Didnt really think of that..although my mum did hint before which I switched topic immediately.. lol. See how luh..

Recently I've been pretty paranoid by little things around me.. I'm looking at things in the negative way.. assuming things which they isnt actually was.. I can't explain why am I acting like that, neither has anything bad happened around me.. The only thing which somehow is telling whats going on, would be a horoscope forecast..

Some Updates on my studies..

Enrolled to SIM, BSc Computer and Information System, awarded by University of London. Another 3 years of student life coming my way. Looks like I really have to work for extra income, the fees payable every semester is daunting.. Course starts at Sept, so 2 more months to earn some pocket money for 1st sem.. Meanwhile, its time to do some catching up with old friends..

First day at work

First Day at Work

Yup, first day being instructor at nypgc. I swear its very much more comfortable than teaching secondary school students. At the same it really feels good being back to where I started off 5 years ago and contribute, afterall without this organisation I wouldn't be teaching now.

One of the very good takeaways from national service would be the skills to conduct lessons in a systematically and efficient way. It gives people the feeling of you really know your stuff, and that really gains confidence from your 'customer'. At the same time, being in the same position as them in the past enables me to know their needs and pinpoint the critical stuff which makes the lesson a smooth and fun one.

All in all, good organising skills, know your stuff well, know your 'customer's needs are some key factors in everything you want to achieve. I guess this is very much alike in sales line too..

It feels really good when people are coming back after lessons wanting to learn more, the smile on their faces tells me it has been a fruitful 1.5 hrs for them. What a wonderful thing being able to place your passion and work together. I wished~

National Achievers Congress 2008

Has been going to EXPO everyday these few days, thanks to kianpeng for the free tickets which cost $230. National Achievers Congress, a seminar which gathers various world-renowned speakers to share their strategies and skill that will make money, at the same time promote their enrichment courses which cost thousands of dollars. Thou I'm not in sales line yet, I thought it would be good to just be there and pick up some useful skills.

Overall the seminar was pretty good, these gurus are really good at it, the way they try to convince you by thinking their way. The only thing I dislike is they will all end their session by promoting their stuff like enrichment courses and books etc. But well, I guess nobody would like to spend hours speaking to people and end up selling nothing too.

One of the more motivating speaker would be Joe Girard. He presented in a very humourous way and at the same time doing stunts like climbing ladders etc. He's also attested by World Guinness Book of World Records as the 'World Greatest Salesperson'. One of his book 'How to Sell anything to Anyone', recommend it to anyone whom you know to be in sales line too.

Labour Day

So how did you guys spent your Labour Day.. Haven't been meeting gf this week due to the seminar, so I better meet her today before she grumbles. =x Went to ikea tampanies and saw this thingy..

Its a shoe horn, I once saw Xavier using it (my platoon sergeant), its a tool to 'push' ur heals smoothly into ur shoe when you're wearing it instead of you squatting down and use ur fingers. Xavier claims that it protects your shoe, and its more hygiene. At that point of time, back in my mind I was just thinking ' yea right.. its just another tool for lazy bums~'

Yet I bought it today cause firstly I thought its nice but mainly because its cheap which cost only $1.80. When I was experimenting at home... lol~ this thingy is good man, I got the wow effect feeling how smooth my heals got into my shoe instantly without much effort. Okie, you guys must be thinking how 'sua ku' am I... FIRST TIME USING IT LUH.. CAN OR NOT.

Next we went Pasir ris park for some old school partoring, to fly kite. Too bad there isn't any wind, I guess the weather is just to hot this month, so our frisbee came into action. The fun part here is to see somebody tried so hard yet fail to catch it. Pretty amusing.. =x

Extra Income

yay~ Recieved a call from Michael today, and was asked to be one of the instructor for this coming NYP Guitar Enrichment Course. That means extra income coming in ! To think I was once a noobie learning guitar in this very same course, and today I'm teaching there.. Time flies man~ so, I'll be teaching every monday and thursday night, if you're interested as well, let me know.. teach you at a cheaper rate k..

ORD Syndrome

ORD Syndrome

Saw raymond's comment on msn and it goes like this 'what is this..get the rank to execute duties or get the rank to enjoy privileges !?!' so out of curiousity I decided to find out whats going on and after some kpo'ing, I guess it's just another ORD syndrome..

As we are preceding towards our ORD dates (6th June), many starts to have different kind of ORD Syndrome. Some starting to worry what to do after ord, some considering whether to sign on, some already working parttime while clearing off, and for raymond.. he's just simply Asking for More~~ He's complaining about how slack his company is, down to 3rd sergeants all slacking around and even thought of going to his boss and ask for more assignments. 'The fact that we're still drawing the 1K salary every month, we should continue to work for what we're paid for !'

lol.. people with such attitude should just sign on isnt it ? I respect his very responsible attitude, but for myself.. I felt that I have had my tough times, right now the understudies have already kicked in, and overall the company is running well, I've cleared every other outstanding assignments, why not relax myself when its time to step down ?

As for my ord plans, my goals are very clear which is to further my studies, but at the same time 'ord = no income'. For the past 1 yr saf has been feeding me 1k every month ever since commissioning.. everything went expensive be it food, clothings, partoring etc.. even transportation..
